• To fit chest: 16, 18, 20 or 22 in
• Sweater length to shoulder: 9½ to 14¼ in, sleeve seam 6 to 9½ in
• Trousers outside length: 18½ to 21¼ in
• Hat width around head: 15 to 17 in
• Original yarn: double knitting – 4 to 5 50g balls, or 2 to 3 100g balls, depending on size
• Needles: one pair each of 3¼ mm and 4 mm knitting needles, plus a cable needle
• Also needed: 2 buttons for the sweater and waist-length elastic for the trousers
• Tension: 22 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm over stocking stitch on 4 mm needles
• Era: 1980s
